Rehabilitation

Neurological and Balance

This specialized program enhances patient recovery after a neurological injury such as a stroke, brain tumor, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's Disease or other neurological disorder.

The program consists of three phases:

  • Phase 1: Initial treatment includes individual evaluation by a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Speech Therapist.
  • Phase 2: Patients begin actively participating in their own individually tailored treatment plan, which may include all or part of the following: exercise, gait training, balance training, fall prevention, activities of daily living, speech therapy, group therapy, community re-entry and caregiver education.
  • Phase 3: This involves discharge planning and development of activities and opportunities for continual improvement after finishing skilled therapy.

Whether the patient's goal is walking, dressing or returning to work, we can develop a program that helps achieve these possibilities.
